Those of you who know me should know that I've been a fan and evangelist for creativeLive for YEARS now. I now get to be an affiliate for creativeLive, and I'm happy to do so.
As part of the program, I was allowed to choose a class to view and review. I choose Pregnancy and Newborn Photography with Ana Brandt. I had seen a little of Ana during Photo Week and on YouTube, but I hadn't seen her in depth course on newborn photography. Let me just say, I can't believe it took me so long to watch this workshop! Ana is a very straight forward instructor from Orange County who has been dedicated to newborn photography for her whole photography career. I found myself identifying with her personal story as well as the way she delivered her instructions and insight in a very matter of fact way.
Ana's course talks about everything from why or why shouldn't you pursue newborn photography to how to run a successful studio and business. I personally really liked the fact that she's a mom of three just like me, doing all the things while being all the things. She's honest about the challenges of the genre, and honest about state of the photography community regarding the genre. I'm so happy to have this workshop in my library.
