Happy Thursday, Folks!
Up until yesterday, it was a fairly uneventful week. Then yesterday, I walked out to my car to leave my day job, put my bags in the back seat, closed the door as I always do and then - CRACK!!!! My back windshield shattered to pieces! Like...edge to edge and tiny pebbles of safety glass everywhere! Luckily, with the help of my awesome mom and my insurance company, my care is, as I write this, getting a new rear windshield. It was the strangest, most freaky thing I've experienced because it was completely random. Add in a cranky toddler and a teething infant when I got home, and yesterday suddenly became the longest day.
Yesterday also saw me take what I'm considering to be the first (and arguably the most important) tangible step toward launching G&I. For those of you who don't remember what that is, it is my next personal photo essay project. I drafted and sent an email to the individuals I'm hoping will provide me with the ideal location to capture the majority of images for the project. I'm trying not to wonder if the email has been received, read, discussed, and decided upon. It's been less than 24 hours since I sent the email, and I'm trying to not bite my nails off from the anxiety of waiting. I do have a plan B, but it's FAR less ideal. Keep your fingers crossed for me that I hear positive news back soon.
I'm looking for MUAs and/or hair stylists for client shoots. If you're interested, send me the link to your portfolio for review. I'll contact you if I like your work to discuss further details. If you or someone you know is a MUA and/or hairstylist and need to build your portfolio, I have some creative opportunities brewing which can be a portfolio building opportunity for creatives. CONTACT ME and put "Client" in the subject line to share your portfolio to be considered for client work. This Saturday is the opening reception for the group art show I've an image hanging in. Keep Living, Keep Feeling, Keep Dancing! is my first art show in...wow! 5 years! Holy cow! Well, I'm showing a framed 20x24 "I dance..." image in this show. You should come out and see it. It looks AMAZE-BALLS!! If I could only afford to print and frame all 33 images. They would make an IMPRESSIVE solo show. Maybe I can still make that happen in conjunction with G&I. We'll see. Follow the link above for details about the event. I hope to see you there!
That's the news for the week. Stay out of trouble and chat you up next week. And now for a baby!
